Description:
A delicious creamy cheese and vegetable sauce to pour all over your pasta.
( Pasta not included )
Portions:
Makes 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) sauce. That is a big helping for two people.
Preparation:
- In saucepan, combine sauce mix, 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) milk and 1 tbsp (15 mL) butter or margarine. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, whisking constantly.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and cook 4 minutes, whisking frequently.
- Serve over 1/2 lb (250 g) cooked pasta.
( Remember, pasta not included )
Ingredients:
Modified corn starch, dehydrated parmesan and blue cheeses (milk ingredients, bacterial culture, salt, rennet and/or pepsin and/or microbial enzyme, calcium chloride), modified milk ingredients, hydrolyzed corn protein, dried vegetables (carrots, mushrooms, peas), hydrogenated soybean oil, salt, garlic & onion powder, maltodextrin, natural flavour, canola oil, spice, sodium citrate, dried parsley, sodium phosphate, mono & diglycerides, citric acid and sulphites.
Note:
On a camping trip you are likely to use powdered skim milk, so be generous with the butter or margarine. To make up for the lack of butter fat in the milk I like to double it at least.
