Makes 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) sauce, which is two generous camping portions.
Preparation:
- In saucepan, combine sauce mix, 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) milk and 1 tbsp (15 mL) butter or margarine.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, whisking constantly. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook 4 minutes, whisking frequently.
- Serve over 1/2 lb (250 g) cooked pasta.
( Remember, pasta not included )
Ingredients:
Maltodextrin, corn starch, wheat flour, whey protein concentrate, dehydrated bacon bits, dehydrated parmesan cheese, modified milk ingredients, hydrolyzed corn protein, flavour, salt, hydrogenated soybean oil, canola oil, dehydrated vegetables (chives, onion, garlic), modified corn starch, spice, sodium phosphate, mono & diglycerides, corn syrup solids, hydrolyzed soy/corn/wheat gluten protein, smoked pork fat, disodium inosinate and sulphites.
Note:
On a camping trip you are likely to use powdered skim milk, so be generous with the butter or margarine. To make up for the lack of butter fat in the milk I like to double it at least.
